Happy Birthday Mami!

Bom Dia!

First I want to start this entry by wishing the person I have loved the longest a very happy and stress free birthday! Feliz cumpleaños mamita! Wish I was there to celebrate!

On Monday night I surprised Greg with a fantastic (i mean absolutely exquisit) dinner at Lafayette wich is located in Bahia Marina. We shared 2 bottles of wine and some rather interesting conversations with Bruno (Greg's friend from HS) and Camila (Bruno's partner). Keep posted, pictures to come!

Tuesday was pretty low key, I started looking into English schools around the area and recreational things to do. I have picked up running again and was looking for a group to run with in the evenings. I found one and e-mailed them as well as a Samba instructor that I came across. The Samba instructor e-mailed me back yesterday and as it turns out, she's from Phoenix, Az.

We finally have a place to put all of our clothes! For the past few weeks, all of the articles of clothing that we brought with us had been in a gigantic pile on the floor. We were promised 'guarda-roupa' (a wardrobe) but it was just never installed. Now that we have it our house looks a million times better, roomier and it even echos!

I am looking forward to posting all these pics to share with you all! Missing all of you dearly!

MOBILES

A Little Bit of Beach

MOBILE

Sem Luz!

Yesterday every house on our block had no electricity due to maintenance, including ours.
We decided to take a trip to Brotas and visit Greg's host family. Rogerio was kind enough to take us to Salvador's oldest restaurant, Porto do Moreira. We had an amazingly delicious meal, it was no surprise why they have been open since 1938!
When we arrived back to our apartment, we noticed our electricity was still not on, we took a stroll down to the beach where we read and had ice cream with Annette.
We decided to go to Shopping Barra to kill some time, we ended up at 'Villa Guadalupe' a Mexican restaurant where Greg and I enjoyed some Margaritas!!!
